First Educational Institutions Offering Certified FOUNDATION Fieldbus Training Announced

STC Brielle and Fieldbus Center at Lee College complete rigorous certification process

AUSTIN, Texas, March 25, 2009 — The Fieldbus Foundation today announced that STC Brielle and the Fieldbus Center at Lee College are the first educational institutions worldwide to offer fieldbus training courses certified under its Foundation Certified Training Program (FCTP). This program establishes uniform standards for fieldbus educational curriculum around the globe, and defines acceptable levels of learning for students of the technology.

Marc Van Pelt Appointed Fieldbus Foundation Corporate Secretary

Pepperl+Fuchs executive assumes key corporate responsibilities

AUSTIN, Texas, March 12, 2009 – The Fieldbus Foundation has announced the appointment of Marc Van Pelt as its corporate secretary. Van Pelt will add corporate responsibilities to his current positions as the foundation’s Vice-president, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Operations; and Chairman; EMEA Steering Committee. He has also been a member of the Fieldbus Foundation European Marketing Committee (FF-EMC) for more than a decade.

FOUNDATION Fieldbus Developer Training To Be Offered During May In Austin, Texas

Vendor-neutral instruction covers key aspects of Foundation technology

AUSTIN, Texas, March 11, 2009 – The Fieldbus Foundation today announced it will offer Foundation fieldbus developer training during May 2009 at its headquarters in Austin, Texas. The vendor-neutral “Introduction to Foundation Fieldbus” and “Advanced Principles of Foundation Fieldbus” courses cover all key aspects of open, non-proprietary Foundation fieldbus technology. The one-day “Introduction to Foundation Fieldbus” course will be conducted on May 5. The three-day “Advanced Principles of Foundation Fieldbus” will be held on May 6-8.
