FFCEEMC Participates at IAC 2014 - Budapest, HU, Oct 2014

rt_keynoteThe Fieldbus Foundation Central and Eastern European Marketing Committee (FFCEEMC) participated in the recent International Automation Congress 2014 held at Hotel Ramada Aquaworld, Budapest, Hungary, from 29th - 31st October, 2014.The IAC provided an international forum for 185 professionals in the fields of process control, factory automation and related computer science, to share their latest research, development and applications experiences with participating manufacturers, developers, industry experts and end users. IAC 2014 was the first congress to be organised as a joint event that brings together the annual Distributed Control Systems (DCS) symposium and the Factory Automation conference in Hungary, and will now take place every three years.

Fieldbus Foundation Day - Gdansk, PL - 27 May 2014

gdansk_27.5.14_presenterscreenThe Fieldbus Foundation Central and Eastern European Marketing Committee (FFCEEMC) led a focussed Fieldbus Foundation Day on Tuesday 27 May, 2014, at the Amber Expo, Gdansk, Poland. Seventeen end users from several industrial companies and also members of the Polish press benefitted from a unique and valuable opportunity to learn about the benefits and implementation of FOUNDATION fieldbus technology - from the local experts! After a full programme of presentations, the participants were able to continue their discussions over a late lunch.

The event was hosted by members of the FFCEEMC who delivered a comprehensive agenda of technical presentations in Polish language.

FOUNDATION Fieldbus End User Seminar - Brno, CZ - 13 May 2014

ffceemc_seminar_brno_cz_13.5.14_pic_2_demo_units_webffceemc_seminar_brno_cz_13.5.14_pic_1_bindert_douma_webThe Fieldbus Foundation Central and Eastern European Marketing Committee (FFCEEMC) hosted a Foundation technology end user seminar and practical demonstration for end users and contractors on Tuesday 13 May, 2014, at the Hotel Myslivna - Brno, Czech Repbulic.

The event was hosted by Mr Jozef Schulcz (Vice Chairman - FFCEEMC) and experts from the FFCEEMC. In addition, the FFCEEMC was pleased to welcome guest speaker Dr. Bindert Douma (certified Foundation trainer - STC Group, Brielle, the Netherlands). The highlight of the day's agenda was the hands-on practical training led by Dr Douma and Mr Tony Alexander (Honeywell UK) using specially commissioned demonstration units with Emerson, Honeywell and Endress+Hauser hosts and several devices and components from many Fieldbus Foundation member companies.

Sales Training & End User Seminar - Brunn, Austria - 21-22 Oct, 2013

brunn_sales_training_21-22_oct_2013_audience_webbrunn_sales_training_21-22_oct_2013_bindert_webThe Fieldbus Foundation Central and Eastern European Marketing Committee (FFCEEMC), together with fieldbus experts from the Fieldbus Foundation headquarters in Austin, Texas, and trainers from the certified training centers in Brielle (Netherlands) and Miskolc (Hungary), hosted a fieldbus sales training and end user seminar at the Austria Trend Hotel in Brünn, Austria from October 21-22.

The events were hosted by Mr. Jürgen George (Chairman - FFCEEMC) and members of the FFCEEMC.  Larry O'Brien, marketing manager of the Fieldbus Foundation was in attendance as well as Dr. Bindert Douma (certified FOUNDATION trainer - STC Group, Brielle, the Netherlands) and Mr József Subert and Victor Füvesi (certified FOUNDATION trainers - University of Miskolc, Hungary).

Each Part of the User Guide series highlights the various aspects of a project that need to be considered to integrate FOUNDATION fieldbus technology successfully into the process automation infrastructure of an enterprise. The sections build up a summary of the key considerations associated with each of the main phases of the project - Project Management; Project Investment; Project Design & Engineering; Project Implementation; Operations & Maintenance. FFCEEMC Holds Successful Meeting in Krakow, Poland, April 17-18, 2013

krakow_webThe first of the Fieldbus Foundation CEE Marketing Committee’s 2013 biannual meetings took place on April 17-18 2013 in Krakow, Poland.

The agenda included discussions about the new FOUNDATION Certified Training Centre for the CEE region, and the launch of the new User Guide – Implementing a FOUNDATION Fieldbus Project.

FFCEEMC Holds Specialist Event for EPCs - Brno - 14 Nov, 2012

brno_14.11.12_presenterThe FFCEEMC invited EPCs to a half-day seminar/forum held in the Brno area of the Czech Republic on Wednesday 14 November, 2012.

The presentations were targeted at engineering contractors and users wishing to learn more about the life-cycle benefits and application of Foundation technology but who are already familiar with the basics. Technical experts from Fieldbus Foundation member companies led the presentations and discussions.

24. október, 2012 - A Fieldbus Foundation, amely sajtótájékoztatót tartott a Miskolci Egyetemen, ma nyilvánosságra hozta, hogy az Egyetem sikerrel teljesítette a szigorú akkreditációs eljárást, annak feltételeként, hogy olyan oktatási helyszín lehessen, amely a Foundation Certified Training Programme (Foundation Akkreditált Oktatási Program - FCTP) szerint akkreditált fieldbus oktató kurzusokat tarthat. Ez a program egységes standardokat határoz meg a fieldbus oktatás tantervére vonatkozóan az egész világon, és meghatározza az ezen technikát tanulók által elsajátított tudás elfogadható szintjeit.

University of Miskolc Becomes Certified Training Centre - Oct 24, 2012

fctp_logo_webMiskolc_RJT Presenting Certificate_Oct12October 24th, 2012: The Fieldbus Foundation, conducting a press conference at the University of Miskolc, Hungary, today announced that the university has been successful in the rigorous certification process required to become a training site that offers fieldbus training courses certified under the Foundation Certified Training Programme (FCTP). This programme establishes uniform standards for fieldbus educational curriculum around the globe, and defines acceptable levels of learning for students of the technology.

The University of Miskolc is now the preferred site for certified Foundation fieldbus training in the Central & Eastern Europe region.

Richard J. Timoney Delivers Keynote Speech at DCS18, Hungary, Oct 24-26, 2012

As part of the opening plenary session on Wed Oct 24, Richard J. Timoney, President and CEO - Fieldbus Foundation, delivered a keynote presentation to introduce Foundation for Remote Operations Management (F-ROM) - an integrated engineering platform (open, standards-based and vendor-neutral) to replace complex proprietary and customised SCADA.
