bucharest_ro_9.10.12_iverhammeaudiencedemos_webbucharest_ro_9.10.12_audiencespeakerdemos_webThe Fieldbus Foundation Central and Eastern European Marketing Committee (FFCEEMC) held its popular ‘Foundation Fieldbus Live!' roadshow at two Romanian locations - Hotel Crystal Palace, Bucherest (Oct 9), and Prahova Plaza Hotel, Ploiesti (Oct 11).

Open to all parties interested in the implementation of Foundation fieldbus technology including end users, systems integrators, contractors and designers, the FFCEEMC welcomed over 70 participants to the events over the two days.

The agenda for the day included presentations in Romanian language including an introduction to the FFCEEMC and an overview of Foundation Fieldbus - An Automation Infrastructure for Operational Excellence.

A highlight of the agenda was the live, hands-on demonstration of the building, maintenance and modification of working Foundation segments using demonstration units with host systems from Emerson Process Management, Endress+Hauser and Honeywell, with devices from several member companies.

In addition to the presentation programme and demonstrations, attendees had the opportunity for open discussions during which technical queries were clarified, and applications, projects and the implementation of Foundation technology could be discussed with industry experts and representatives from several member companies.

The FFCEEMC includes representatives from major suppliers of control systems and instrumentation including Emerson Process Management, Endress+Hauser, Honeywell, MTL, Pepperl+Fuchs, R.Stahl, Turck and Yokogawa.
