Membership

Foundation technology is growing and gaining world wide acceptance. A study conducted by the ARC Advisory Group indicates that 80% of end users, system integrators and OEMs have implemented or plan to implement fieldbus technology in the process and hybrid industries.

It's time to achieve operational excellence.  Become a member and drive the technology supported by more than 90% of the world's control and instrumentation companies.

Membership Benefits

The Foundation offers a significant number of benefits through membership.  Whether you are a manufacturer, systems integrator, educational institution, end user or other professional in the business; join the foundation and take advantage of the benefits.

  • Intellectual Property Rights License – Voting members receive the option to accept a license to use the Intellectual Property Rights of the Fieldbus Foundation for the design, development, manufacture, or sale of devices utilizing Foundation technology.
  • Specifications – Members will receive a single seat license to the Foundation Technical Specifications with 90 days of maintenance updates. If you would like to continue access to updates to the general specifications, you may purchase an annual maintenance/update agreement at the single seat level, or upgrade to a corporate level, at a member discount price.

For a limited time frame before their official release, free downloads for all completely new specifications to be added to the FOUNDATION Technical Specifications are available to our members. Any and all brand new specifications will be available in the members section of the forums.

  • Board Elections – Each year is an election year allowing members a chance to vote, impacting the direction of fieldbus technology. The election of the Board of Directors is voted on annually. (Applies to voting members only. Includes: manufacturers/developers, engineers/integrators or end users)
  • Directory Listing – Member companies and listed affiliates will be displayed on the Fieldbus Foundation website along with information about your company's products and services establishing recognition of your involvement and participation with the Fieldbus Foundation.
  • Style Guide – Members will be issued a style guide that describes the guidelines behind the use of the Fieldbus Foundation's logos.  The use of the logos will become a marketing tool for display on your Foundation products, ads, etc.
  • Committees – Participate on your regional marketing committee, technical teams and/or work groups as we continue to develop and expand the technology.   • Marketing – Sponsorships are a great way to market your company and products to end users. As a member, you have the opportunity to participate in various marketing activities such as tradeshows, seminars, demos and our annual promotional program that includes representation in ads, articles, and our multi-language email newsletter Fieldbus Facts Online.
  • Fieldbus Forums – Access the member section of Fieldbus Forums, an online community providing user/developer forums for discussion items such as technical issues, improvement ideas and much more. 
  • Discounts – Members will receive discounts on purchases such as training, consulting services, and product development tools.
