The members of the Danish Automation Society (DAu) organised a successful two day event, "Instrumentation - the foundation in the automation pyramid," which focused on process instrumentation, on-line analysis, bus systems and asset management. The event took place at the Hotel Grand Park, Korsør, Denmark on the 28th & 29th March 2007.
The seminar programme was extensive, with fourteen participating speakers each concentrating on experiences and applications relative to the process instrumentation industry. Particular reference was made to the presentation "FoundationTM fieldbus technology expanding across the globe", which was well appreciated by the audience, emphasising once again, why Fieldbus Foundation dominates fieldbus protocols in process industry.
The event was attended by 77 end users and suppliers, which included some major players within the process industry.
A dinner was held on the first evening and the attendees were inspired by a presentation by local company Micro Breweries and to their delight, were invited to sample their selection of fine beers.
A further two day event is scheduled to take place on the 29th & 30th October 2007 with the proposed theme being "the puzzle of automation". Key discussions topics will be technology and methodology and cases within automation.
