Live Demos - the Key to Success Of Latest UK Seminar!

The Fieldbus Foundation UK Marketing Committee was delighted with the success of the latest seminar in a series of road shows held at the Madejski Stadium, Reading on 9 April. The committee had originally anticipated approximately 35 attendees and was pleased to welcome twice as many to the event.

image_012In addition to presentations about the value of Foundation fieldbus in terms of Process Integrity, Business Intelligence and Open, Scaleable Integration of information across process manufacturing plants, live systems demonstrations provided by ABB, Emerson Process Management, Honeywell and Yokogawa were held. Field measurement devices from ABB, Beka Associates, Emerson Process Management, Endress & Hauser, Honeywell, Invensys, Krohne, Moore Hawke, MTL, Pepperl+Fuchs, Smar, Topworx, Turck Banner, Vega and Yokogawa were connected and shown running.

These practical demonstrations showed the adding and removing of devices, fault tolerance and alarm handling and were welcomed by the audience.

As an added extra to the day's seminar program, attendees were also invited to take part in a tour of the football stadium facilities.

All participants gave positive feedback with almost all citing the live content of the seminar as the most beneficial part.
