Multaqa 2007 EUC Conference Welcomes 200 Delegates!

Together with the Fieldbus Foundation End User Council - Middle East (FFEUCME), the Fieldbus Foundation Middle East Marketing Committee (FFMEMC) hosted its fourth annual End User Council conference, Multaqa 2007, at the Ritz Carlton Bahrain Hotel and Spa on December 4-5 2007.

Coordinated by a team of Foundation fieldbus experts at Saudi Aramco and members of the FFEUCME and FFMEMC, the two day event offered end users, system integrators and engineers an extensive program of presentations by end users and implementers of Foundation technology as well as Foundation fieldbus technical presentations by worldwide experts.

In addition to the presentation program, a table top exhibition featuring Foundation products and devices from 23 event sponsors gave attendees the opportunity to discuss applications with a number of vendors. Sponsor companies included ABB, BEKA Associates, Beldon, Emerson Process Management, Endress+Hauser, FDT Group, GE, Hirschmann, Honeywell, Invensys, Leoni Kerpen, Magnetrol, Metso Automation, Moore Hawke, MTL, Pepperl+Fuchs, Rockwell Automation, Smar, Softing, Stahl, Topworx, Turck and Yokogawa.

Prior to the EUC meeting, delegates were offered three-day training courses addressing "Foundation  Fieldbus - Fundamentals & Application Technology" from November 26-28 and December 1-3.  Sixty delegates attended the interactive sessions which offered an overview of the technology and its application and included comprehensive hands-on demonstrations.
