The DSP program is a resource for all companies wishing to design, develop, manufacture or sell FOUNDATION fieldbus devices. A FOUNDATION DSP is a company or individual who has met the Fieldbus Foundation’s standards for tools, training and experience to provide services for the development and registration of Foundation products. These individuals or companies provide extraordinary services and solutions to their customers and have earned the distinct honor of being a Development Services Provider.

The DSP program was created in response to a need recognized by the Fieldbus Foundation within the global automation industry to provide a list of competent service vendors that can help get their FOUNDATION product to market quickly.  The foundation, which is directed by its membership, receives many questions regarding qualified third-party services to help with the development of FOUNDATION devices. Because of this demand, we have created the FOUNDATION DSP Program.

Available DSP Service Offerings

As part of the Development Services Provider Program, the Fieldbus Foundation has three areas of classification for available service offerings. Each has a stringent set of requirements that are applicable to its particular classification.

• H1 Services -  This service offering includes assistance with software, hardware or services related to H1 Field Devices, including H1 Stack, Application Layer and Device Descriptions assistance. H1 is the fieldbus foundation's 31.25 kbps standard signal over stranded twisted pair.
• HSE Services - This service offering includes assistance with software, hardware or services related to HSE Devices, including H1 Stack, Application Layer and Device Descriptions assistance. These devices may include HSE Field Devices, or Linking Devices. HSE is the fieldbus foundation's 100 Mbps High Speed Ethernet signal over common Ethernet cable.
• Host Services - This service offering includes assistance with the development of a Host System.
