The James O. Gray - Fieldbus Foundation Scholarship Fund honors Jim Gray, a leader in the development of today's industry standard Foundation protocol. Contributors to the scholarship can help ensure the availability of skilled instrumentation personnel to fill tomorrow's workforce.
James O. Gray, a long-time supporter of the Fieldbus Foundation, passed away on June 28, 2002. Jim was well known and respected by his peers in the process control field. He took special interest in how we would train personnel to utilize evolving technologies and was instrumental in seeking out qualified institutions to deliver the necessary training and education around the world. His tireless efforts on behalf of the foundation made a significant contribution to the growing global adoption of Foundation technology.
In honor of Jim Gray, the Fieldbus Foundation established the James O. Gray - Fieldbus Foundation Scholarship Fund. This scholarship is awarded annually to eligible students studying instrumentation, automation and system technology.
